Understanding Pain
If your living with Chronic Pain, you already know how exhausting it can be.
It Isn’t Just Physical, but also mental and emotional.
Please note that before booking hypnotherapy for chronic pain, you should first consult your GP and any relevant medical specialists. This work is not a replacement for medical care.
Pain is often a tricky subject to understand; it’s not just physical, it’s a complex phenomenon, involving a pain-matrix in the brain & nervous system as information is passed along pathways via the spinal cord to let the brain know what is going on both inside & outside the body.Pain is a protective system
It’s there to keep you safe, bring to your awareness that something needs to be done & protects you when protection is required. Sometimes it becomes too protective. Sometimes, the longer your nervous system produces pain, the better it gets at keeping it going.Stress, beliefs about the body, past injuries, fear, sleep, and everyday life pressures all shape how pain develops, lingers, and is experienced.Understanding Your Pain is Important
When you understand and have clarity about what’s happening in your brain, nervous system and body, things begin to change. How I Help
Using modern pain science, neuroplasticity, hypnosis and experiential coaching, I help my clients understand pain differently, respond to it differently and create the conditions for lasting change. Together We Explore:

The beliefs and assumptions that may be keeping you stuck
Practical ways to create safety and retrain pain pathways
It’s not about positive thinkingIt’s not about pretending your pain isn’t realAnd it’s certainly not about blaming you for your symptomsMany of my clients come to me having been in pain for years. They've had scans, tried treatments, seen medical specialists and been told they need to 'just manage it'.
Here's the thing: freedom doesn't come from becoming better at managing pain.It comes from reclaiming the life that pain told you was no longer possible. This Work Is For If…

I decided to try hypnotherapy because I was suffering from chronic pain that impacted my mental health. I have to admit I was sceptical, but I was recommended to Geraldine by a friend & had tried just about everything, so I thought I'd give it a go.
I can honestly say she has transformed my life. Her professional approach, knowledge, skill & kindness made me feel heard & comfortable. My pain has greatly reduced, and I am happy & able to get on with my life. Thank you.
